I believe what makes me a great caregiver is the experience I have. I have 5 years experience working for an agency and independently. I have significant experience with hospice care, dementia, Alzheimers , Parkinson's, COPD, cancers, companion care and the general everyday care of those that can't do things for themselves anymore like cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping and showers. I always keep medical books in the homes of my clients/patients. On every shift I always take blood pressure , temperature and oxygen so that Vitals can be monitored regularly for any changes. The medical books will keep logs of daily living such as any Dr appointments, mood changes, medications, vitals, daily diet and activities. It's important to catch/detect any change in health. Communication is big with me on keeping everyone on the same page so that the best care can be given at all times. I'm a registered health care aid, . CPR/First Aide certified. I became a health care aide because I believe our loved ones get better care at home from one on one care opposed to a nursing home.

Hello, I am a excited to be your caregiver. I am an experienced HHA.I have over 20 years. I have worked and trained as a CNA,HHA with administering medication training. I also have over 15 years training in mental health, crises, substance abuse and forensic ( BCCF working with inmates) experience. I have also worked with intellectually disabled and have been trained. I love to learn and don't mind hard work. I enjoy cleaning and disinfecting. On a personal note, I have 4 children 2 girls 28,25 and a son 22 and another girl 11. I have one granddaughter 4 and boy she is a spitfire. My family is my heart, pride and my everything. I am very love helping others and getting them back on there feet.I have been a cna for 19 years. I love my job. I am also attending college to become a social worker.I love helping assist people in need with their daily living. I take care of my patients as if it is me taking care of my parents or loved ones. I take care of my mother who has had 12 stokes and she is strong she is my biggest role model no matter what life throws you never give up help thos in need and give when u can and you will be blessed. That me in a nut shell.

I'm passionate, caring and patient person. My biggest accomplishment is making patients feel better and safe. I had a patient that was dying of cancer she was afraid to go to sleep. I stayed by her side until she fell asleep . It made her feel like she wasn't alone and she wasn't as scared. To make her feel better was a accomplishment.

Currently a nursing student looking for a job with flexibility, my school schedule will come out in the beginning of the semester and I have to work around that , with covid I'm trying to get a job away from the virus that will allow me close patient care , and decent pay. I love to care for other but with the danger of covid it's becoming harder and harder everyday

I am a great caregiver because I put myself in my patients situation, try my best to make them as comfortable as I can and treat them as if they are family. I became a caregiver because I've always loved helping people, I feel as if my hands were meant to heal. I love being a care giver, the most rewarding thing is to watch the patient leave our facility (recently employed at an LTACH) and return back to there normal lives. I have only been employed as a caregiver by one facility. In my first 90 days I received recognition from management for my superior work with my patients and I received 5 select stars, each one from a certain patient who felt I went above and beyond to make them comfortable. I am a great team player who is hard working and very results oriented when on the job. I am looking to broaden my horizons in the healthcare field and gain as much experience and learn as much as I can along the way.
