I worked as a CNA for 16 yrs (3 years as a PCW) until I went back to school for my associates in Medical Administration. I went into the field as I love taking care of others. I find it to be very rewarding, like no other career. Helping others with daily life skills, no matter what it is, brings joy to my life. Knowing I make a difference feels good. I am very professional as I have worked in the field for such a long time. I am sensitive to a person's needs as well. It is very important to me to that the client/patient is taken care of as well. At some point in our lives we all will require help. It is so important that we remember this as we care for another in need. I am looking to work the overnight shift 2-3 nights per week or 5-6 shifts in a 2-week pay period. I am available to work between 7p-9a. I am also willing to work longer shifts up to 15 hours per shift. I would like to stay around 30 per week as I am enrolled in an online Medical Transcription course presently.

I have always been a caregiver. I am the oldest of 3 and my mothers best friend has 2 girls so I had to keep an eye on them all!! Now I am a mother myself to 2 beautiful girls. I am a great listener and can handle things when they get a little hairy. I remain calm in an emergency and can think logically and quickly in the time of need. I love helping people. I started care giving when I was 15 years old when I started helping take care of numerous people in my family. I didn't fully start care giving on a professional level until I was 18 years old. I really do enjoy care giving , I always have. Being able to help someone with something they are no longer able to do themselves , or just even being able to make someone's day better with my help or just by my company, makes me happy. What is a personal achievement I am most proud of? I served in the military as a hospital corpsman for 5 years. I was deployed during Desert Storm and was able to educate and save all the marines under my care. I am thoughtful and loyal. My experiences and knowledge have further confirmed why I love what I do. I spent 2 semesters in nursing school and have much experience dealing with the frail elderly and developmentally disabled. I also had the opportunity to do some work at our state mental health facility. I used to contract with the county for Supportive Home care and Specialized Medical Vehicle transportation Services.I have raised 3 wonderful children and am currently enjoying being a first time Grandmother.
