I am a very happy and positive person, i love putting a smile on others faces. I have been working in caregiving for as long as i can remember as alot of my family needed carers. I have always been passionate about helping others whilst providing companionship. I am very proud of being 24 and never giving up on myself. Ive been committed to my health and self care and i feel thats something special to be proud of.

My very first actual job was a CNA and I knew right away that it was the profession for me! I've always tried being the very best at treating others how it'd like to be treated! I look at each and every person I've ever cared for as if they were my own family and still keep in touch with many of them. I've always enjoyed helping people and making they're day easier and more enjoyable!

I have worked as a CNA-HHA for over 20 years, first through various agencies and then on my own as a private duty caregiver until I started my own home care agency. I worked well with mostly the elderly and Alzheimer and dementia patients. The benefits I receive from caregiving are numerous. I truly enjoy helping people and feeling needed and appreciated by them. I enjoy interacting with the families and working together to develop care plans and meet challenges associated with the job. One of the things I'm most proud of is being able to give the clients and their families peace of mind knowing that their loved ones are comfortable and well-cared for.

My name is Krista. I am a single mother to 2 wonderful little boys. They are my 2 reasons to strive to be a better person and they both have taught me so many things! I believe that I am a great fit for the caregiving position available, I have a lot of patients, I remain calm when something doesn't go as planned, and I take my job very seriously! What attracted me to being a caregiver is for sure not the money you make, or how much! I have never been the type to care more about the money, I care more about making the client feel comfortable, safe, and most of all enjoy life like they should, and putting a smile on their faces! I think one of my greatest Gifts, attributes, and My Proudest Strengths is my Love and Compassion for Children and the Elderly. It fills my heart with joy to watch a child giggle or an elderly person laugh knowing that they are loved and being taken care of by me. I helped my Mom care for my Dad when he was diagnosed with Scleroderma. For over 2 years I administered his many medicines, checked his vitals, oxygen levels and his breathing treatments. I also helped my Mom take him to Vanderbilt for his many appointments. Even though he passed from this horrific disease I felt Blessed that he knew I was there with him and My Mom taking Loving care of him. My current elderly couple I have been caring for are moving in with their children so they can be closer. I desire to stay in a caregiver position for the elderly as I feel that God has given me this Gift to help the elderly have laughter and joy in their aging years. I also receive Blessings and Knowledge from them as they talk about their journeys through life. I have a deeper sense about true hardships and sacrifices our elderly have endured to make our lives better.
