I am a caregiver because I enjoy helping Seniors feel good about themselves in their every day lives. I thrive working in harmonious environments and create them with patience and consideration. Being a caregiver is almost like being an extension of the Senior by assisting with basic day-to-day needs we take for granted like dressing, walking, eating, running errands, medication management and more. The joy working as a caregiver is being able to provide the type of assistance that will help a senior to keep his or her treasured independence for as long as possible. I understand the importance of living at home amongst familiarity and comfort along with personal dignity. I have worked as a Caregiver since 2010. I have worked in facilities with 80 to 350 residents. I've worked on the assisted living floors, memory care units and with Hospice patients. I've worked as a Med Aide giving vitamins, medications, narcotics and insulin injections. I have provided assistance with obtaining vitals, catheter care and oxygen tanks. It's quality of life that counts the most and I believe in giving to seniors quality care which they more than deserve. I also believe that what goes around comes around and I will be a senior needing care one day and I will want quality care too.

I am a naturally caring person, who was raised by my grandparents, so I love and understand the elderly. I love hearing the stories of the past. I love getting to know the families and people involved in their lives. People are important and every person has value and a story to tell! I helped to take care of my grandmother as she was aging and I look back on that time w fond memories. Helping others stay in their home. Making someones life just a little bit easier can have great rewards. I took religion is college, of which I have 3 yrs. I have raised two children, and have been involved in my church over the years. I am now helping to raise two of my grandchildren which I adore! I am faithful and loyal, kind and gentle to others. I am honest and trustworthy.I love gardening, my grandchildren, and nature and all animals, especially cats and horses. In my younger years I was a CNA for about 10 years. Then helped my husband in the restaurant business for quite a few years, then went into janitorial at Hood River High Sch for awhile. I now have an additional 7 yrs (?) in caring for others. I love people! Now that I am a little older, I am enjoying taking care of the elderly and have a good understanding for what they need. I have been doing so for a number (10?) of years. I am a pretty easy going person to wk with.

Hi I'm Cassidy! I fell in love with being a caregiver at my first job after graduating high school in 2016 working for a personal care home where I gained experience in many areas. Such as, dementia, diabetes, alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and many more. After a year and a half of working at this home, I was promoted to supervisor and was trained to be a medication administrator. To me, a great caregiver has a big heart, is compassionate, patient and understanding and I think that's what makes me great at what I do.
