I enjoy caring for others. I worked at my mothers daycare from the age of 14 and after I had my own children, in every aspect of the facility. I have cared for 2 elderly ladies, the latest, for almost 3 years. I am very nurturing, caring and patient. I am most proud of my ability to study and go online to find the source of something that was bothering her. I even diagnosed a condition she had due to her blindness, called Charles Bonnet Syndrome. I found a support group and connected her with a man who suffered the same syndrome and they became phone pals, talking weekly. This gave her such joy as she lived to be 96 and all of her friends had passed. When she had other issues, I'd go online and find out what we needed to adjust in her diet or use in bathing her to alleviate her discomfort. She was very appreciative and said I always was the one who would go extra lengths to make her comfortable.
