My name is Amanda an I have 23 years in the medical field helping with a variety of assis in both group home settings an in home/hospice care. I enjoying helping an assisting others in their everyday care an over night care if needed. I got in to the field because my grandmother was a diabetic an had to have both legs amputated an there was limited help with assisting her so I wanted to learn how an what ways I can help others.

I am 47 years old. I am a mother of 6, with the youngest being 20. I am also a "Mimi" to 5 and have two rescue kitties and a big-personalitied pug named Lola. I lost both my parents young and in losing them I feel a deeper appreciation for generations older than mine and the historic and generational knowledge they hold. Everyone should be treated with dignity and respect, no matter what age, and watching my father not receive the care he deserved as a disabled veteran further fuels that desire. I've cared for students age birth thru 21 with special needs for 20 years and am looking for new adventures!

When working with my last client I streamlined the time card process and I also found misuse of the clients debit card by one of the other employees. I also started a few different procedures for everyone to fallow so we could be more consistent with his care. I started all of these while working closely with Bessie and she said I was a God send to her family and she was so grateful I was there for her father.
