One of my favorite things about caregiving is being introduced to new things from my clients I can incorporate in my own life. For example before my years of caregiving I never watched westerns (which I happen to love now), I never used certain seasonings when cooking, I never read the newspaper, and much more. When I meet and connect with clients pieces of them stick with me forever. I like to help my clients to the best of my ability while showing compassion through the experience. I am naturally a caretaker. I was for my family growing up and still am for the family I have created, so this position comes so natural to me.

She also struggles with technology and knowing how to fill out paperwork, pay bills, etc. For the last 2 years I have helped her with all these things and it brings not only a smile to her face, but it gives me a sense of purpose. So that's what lead me to looking into becoming a part-time caregiver.
