Hello! My name is Robert Baldwin. I am 27 years old and one of my passions is helping those in need. Following that passion, I have gained experience in the fields of caregiving, homemaking, and some medical procedures pertaining to the daily life of someone in need. I am a American Heart Health Association certified CPR and basic First Aid provider and have experience with mentally disabled individuals as well as elderly individuals dealing with Dementia, Alztimers, Parskinsons Disease, and ALS. As a Caregiver/Homemaker, I was responsible for a senior patient or patient(s) overall well-being. Which included aiding them in any way possible. From feeding them and bathing them to cleaning their homes, taking them to appointments, grocery shopping, and to the occasional local event. I learned that you can always improve on your patience and how to be more observant. Not only did I learn more patience and how to be more observant, I advanced in my compromising skills. Note taking/data entry was also a huge part of my role as a caregiver/homemaker. So, I also advanced my data entry and documentation skills.

As a DIDD Staff Member/Caregiver, I supervised and cared for a level 6 (Highest Level) Individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I was trusted with a variety of tasks. Meal preparation, cleaning, and guidance in leisure activities are a few of many such tasks. Daily data entry was a very important task as well and I ensured it was completed daily and successfully logged. CPR, First Aid, and CPI trainings were necessary for this career opportunity so I became well trained and certified in all of them. Patience and alertness were key when dealing with an individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities, so these qualities became a strong suit for me. I also learned the importance of teamwork and how it is essential in any career setting.
