Ever since I was a little girl, I always loved elderly people. How kind and full of wisdom they are. How they always have stories to share. I would of prefered take care of just one person vs multiple, because I love sitting down and having one on one time with individuals learning about what their life was all about, even if we have the same conversation every day because they didn't remember having the conversation the day before. I love listening and gaining friends no matter their age. Getting to know the person I care for and build a relationship means the world to me. After all would you want a stranger that you can't connect with and makes you feel awkward bathing you? I know I wouldn't. I believe to be a caregiver you should be patient, kind, and understanding to each unique situation because everyone is going through a struggle. I fell in love with care giving. I am going to school to be a Registered Nurse to continue my path in helping others.
