I've been a CNA for 20 year's.I love doing what I do,i so get Senior's and get along very well with them.I really owe it all to my Parent's who instilled in me to alway's Respect your elder's.My father was really proud of me for being in this line of work.I did a lot for him up until he passed{2012}.I have received award's in Dementia/Alzheimer care,outstanding caregiver and employee of the month.I have learned a lot in my 20 year's and still learning.My client's show me every day how blessed i'am.

I love working with elderly people. I am a very caring person honest hard working and loyal. I took care of my grandmother for 5 yrs when she became ill. I enjoyed every minute with her. I have been a cna since 1990 became private caregiver for the past 15 yrs. I really enjoy working one on one with individuals. My personal achievement was going back to college.

I am a dedicated and compassionate caregiver who has been working in the healthcare field since 2008. I have 5-10 years doing (in no particular order) g-tube feedings, using hoyer lifts, giving bed baths and showers safely, completing needs assessments, writing formal and informal goals, medication administration, attending doctors appointments, tracheotomy care, positioning for non-ambulatory or movement limited individuals, taking vitals, feeding individuals with dysphagia, preparing and cooking meals to meet the requirements of a mechanically specific diet (puree, mechanical soft, thickened liquids), and more. I really like caring for people and getting to know their particular style and personality. I have always enjoyed working with people with intellectual struggles and physical disabilities. On a more recreational side, I love to sing and if the people I care for like it, I will sing whenever it makes them happy (although I am not beyond using it to reward a good job eating at a meal or completing a difficult task!). I can be goofy or stoic depending on what works for the individuals I serve. Sometimes both if warranted. I am an avid student of motivational psychology and I am always up to the challenge of motivating others to do things that are safe and healthy.

I have recently just became a license practical nurse this summer as I graduated from Ivy tech community college in South Bend. I have been working with children for almost three years now at Walkerton and North Liberty elementary at the before and after program and I have recently taken on a job working with special needs students at John Glenn High School. I am trustworthy, hardworking, and caring. I've always been attracted to being a caregiver for my love of working with children and special needs. It is so rewarding to see the time and effort put into something and having it truly make an impact on someone!

Hello my name is Erin Barcome. I am 23 years old and I have been a CNA for five years now. I absolutely love taking care of any age or type of human being. I am a very caring, loving, compasionate, and very responsible, reliable individual. My grandfather took sick around 5 years ago and being there for not only him but also my grandmother made me want to purse in giving care to other individuals that needed help. I enjoy just being able to help human beings and just being there in their company either it be in a home or in a facility. I am a naturally happy person. I am a spiritual woman who believes in seeing the good in all people and all situations. I not only give my all to the people I work for but also to my parents who need my help. Work for me is a "happy place," a place to reset and enjoy the company of others. I will be furthering my education and becoming an RN and then getting my PhD. I believe life is all about change, growth and helping those you can along the way!

I get to the clients house on time. I am very in tune to the clients needs. I keep in contact with love ones. I love to be around people who need me. The elderly and disabled are very caring people. They just to have someone around all the time to care and talk with them. I enjoy being a caregiver because, the bond between caregiver and client can be very strong. We become loke family. I have raised two children. And I have three grandchildren. They are my proud and joy. I also went to Ivy Tech and got a degree as a medical assistant. It was hard work, but I did it!
