I love being surrounded by older people, they are so full of wisdom and history. That is what drew me to being a care giver. I love helping them and being able to help and care for them as they once cared for me when I was younger. They deserve the best care and that is one thing I am proud of, giving them the best of me. I took care of her when she was sick and I realize after she passed even though i was heart broken It felt good that I was there to help her. One personal achievement that I am proud of is that I am finishing up my Degree in nursing and I am very excited to be a Nurse.

I love being a caregiver because I used to take care of my paraplegic mother who had ovarian and lung cancer I had to beat her feed her change her clothes, When it came to meal prep when it came to watching her diet when it came to trying to keep her healthy with it came to sponge baths washing laundry helping her transfer from a wheelchair to the commode it wasn't easy but it helped prepare me for this job

I am a HHA and CNA in which I preform a lot of private care to the elder. administer prescribed oral medications, under the written direction of physician or as directed by home care nurse or aide, and ensure patients take their medicine. Provide patients with help moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, and with dressing and grooming. Care for patients by changing bed linens, laundry, cleaning, or assisting with their personal care. Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor or case manager and what ever else is needed from me. I am very patient, compassionate, loving, and very down to earth. I treat my elders just how i would treat my family. i also have my own transportation and will not have a problem getting to my destination when needed...
