I am a retired nurse with experience in geriatrics, pediatrics, mental health, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and dementia. I am certified in many areas of nursing and fluent with many medical equipments including oxygen. I am very out going and love to laugh, cook, do laundry(yes, really!), And I take pride in my work.

I am very compassionate when it comes to elderly/disabled people due to the fact that I think that they should be treated with the upmost respect and care. Going up in a very small tightknit family I was able to help firsthand with taking care of my great grandparents during and after high school. Im attracted to caregiving for the simple fact that I can create a great companionship with my patient. The thing I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is having the opportunity to get to know somebody and their daily routine, not to mention being able to get to know my patient like a friend. A personal achievement that I'm proud of is being able to purchase my own LLC with my family in order to create our own business.

I work as a caregiver for almost 16 years and I do have compassion for an individual in need. Regardless of what color, status, culture, or situation. Food preparation and feeding client, according to strict dietary requirements and procedures Cleaning and light housekeeping (client's laundry, dishwashing, cleaning spaces used by client and caregivers, cleaning therapy equipment) Assisting with therapies (cognitive, speech, occupational) and range-of-motion exercises, including manual transfers to and from bed to assist client with weight-bearing and balance exercises. General companionship and interaction with client (i.e. reading books, cognitive therapies). Driving client to and from appointments and activities in a client-provided wheelchair accessible van.
