I have work in the hospital for the past 17years, I also work in home health care . I am a certified nurse aide. I also work in rehab for 6 years I became a caregiver because I love to help people. It is my calling. Caring for other give me joy to know that I was there , when someone needed me. I am now working on my register nurse degree, hope in the next year I will have my achievement. I am very a reliable person, honest, and give my best in every thing I do. I love to cook, read and spend time with my family. I am also a dog lover.

I chose this path in the medical field from a young age when I realized how much I valued the individuality and the wisdom of my elders, and how much joy it brings me to be able to be a shining light in their darkest days. I plan on caring compassionately for my patients and rendering help to those in need. The interpersonal relationships with the patients/family are the reason I am here. In 2019, I was my father's primary caregiver, and I experienced some unprofessional nursing staff that made me want to be in the medical field even more. I have heard horror stories of unkind, unprofessional, non-caring nurses that are involved with our patients, and it utterly breaks my heart. I'm a firm believer that you lived a valuable life if you positively affected at least 1 person in your lifetime and I want to be rich in experience when my time comes. I view everyone as potential family and will always advocate for the patient with their best interest in mind. There are countless good people in this world that are deserving of so much. I crave to be a part of that experience. It's my calling here on earth and my purpose being a Christian woman. I view myself as being caring, empathetic, compassionate, understanding, medically knowledgeable, and a reliable person. I believe time with nature, is its own medicine and that love can heal. I encourage the patient to be active in their care and maintain a positive outlook. I am detail-oriented, focused, dedicated, and eager to get to know you and the family! I am a full-time student, going back to finish my bachelor's degree in nursing. I have experience with altered mental status patients and do well in deescalating situations involving conflict. As a CNA I've had the pleasure of interacting with some wonderful individuals in medical facilities, nursing homes, and in their own private home. I assisted them with daily activities, such as bathing and toileting, feeding, grooming, taking medication, running errands and some light housework. I am capable of using a Hoyer Lift and Sit-to-Stand device. I have also transported some to their Dr. appointments. I have a natural love for what I do and always commit to giving 100%.

I am a great team member and natural leader. Me along with many others would say I am a hard worker and take my work serious. I love working with people creating a bond and friendship with someone I am caring for. What attracted me to being a caregiver was working for the first time in a Nursing facility as a support member. I was looking for a job and was interested in the medical field so I took my first job in that field starting at the facility. I was only allowed to help feed and talk to the patients but I realized I loved helping and wanted to be able to do as much as I can to help them so that encouraged me to get further qualified and become a CNA. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the feeling that I get seeing someone happier or feel more comfort because of something I did for them weather it was small or big, knowing that I helped them with something truly makes me happy. Along with the great conversations I have with many of the residents, I can learn something new or interesting about them everyday and become someone they trust.

Hello! I'm makayla, I am currently a nursing student and have tons of experience giving my 100% care for the elderly. I am very passionate about the work I do and find it extremely rewarding to be there for a families loved one when life makes it hard for them to, I am currently seeking a position to become not only a private caregiver and get away from corporations, but to become a wonderful asset to the right family! I enjoy people , their stories , the life they have lived , events in history they lived through that I can only read about . I know and firmly believe God put me on this path of nursing for its what I enjoy , Can give back and where my help is needed . I believe their are nurses and then there are exceptional nurses . Iam a very loving, kind,caring person i have been taking care of the elderly for 30+ year's, started out working in rest home as a cna I loved my job just didn't have enough time with all off my patients so I went into private care i love talking with the elderly and listen to there story's i just love what I do .

I've been in caregiving for more then 20yrs, I've worked starting as a CNA, became a Certified Dialysis Tech where I worked in clinics, hospitals (ICU), I've worked as an EKG Technician for St David's Hospital. I currently am studying polysomnography but working in caregiver positions in the mean time.
