Hello! My name is Beth. I am 37 years old & the mother to 2 boys (19 & 8). Throughout my entire life I have been referred to as an "old soul", often relating to & befriending folks over 60. I have always cherished what their generation has to share & what they've given to us. Listening to them recall their past & share advice is honestly the most rewarding bonus about being a caregiver! I truly believe caregiving was what I was called to do & I'm so thankful it's my passion! I have over 15 years of experience, mostly with seniors & working with Dementia/Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, & terminal illness. I assist my clients by providing companionship & help w/ bathing, dressing, meal prep, laundry, house keeping, dishes, meds, appts, shopping, transportation, scheduling, keeping care logs, & any other daily needs. I have experience working w/ the Hoyer lift & wheelchair (both manual & electric). I do my best to get clients up & around, keeping their blood flowing and muscles strong. I believe that getting fresh air & staying social is a great way to keep healthy! Patience is also key to their stability & maintaining a successful level of their trust. Being a caregiver is more than a job, it's my true calling. Helping people in need is something that I truly enjoy. I am a mother of two and want the best for my children. That love and compassion carries over into my career. Caregivers are called into very delicate situations and our job is to alleviate stress for clients and their family. A "good" caregiver can truly make a difference in a person's life.
