Hey! My name is Kendall and I've been working with the elderly coming up on 3 years now. I'm 20 years old and am in college working towards my OTA. I didn't go looking for a caregiver job, but it found me. Once I worked with my first patient I was hooked! I am naturally a care taker and empathetic person. Helping those who cannot help themselves is something I pride myself in a lot. This line of work is far from easy and requires patience, but I have found working with my patients has become natural to me. I have worked with 3 different people so far, all with different needs and routines. This job was more for companionship, however I did help her use the bathroom and do some of her physical therapy. I only got to see her a short period of time until she got very ill and needed more support than what I could offer.

This was my very first caregiver job! I helped my boss with her elderly mother about 3-4 times out of the week for about a year and half. Her mother did not have any cognitive decline, but did require help using the restroom, bathing, meal prep+eating, getting in out of furniture, essentially her entire routine. The reason I do not see her anymore is because when the pandemic hit her daughter didn't want anyone coming to the house anymore due to her moms fragile state.

I love to cook and can almost cook anything. Im a very good listener and love a good story about old times. I can manage time efficiently and I'm a very good organizer. I will communicate with the family if there's any concerns occurring in the client daily life. Love to accompany in wals, excersicing, watching movies, or any other entertainment that isn't extreme (like skydiving). I also speak Spanish, and understand Portuguese.I like pets (dogs also if they don't try to bite me) and can walk the pets.
