I'm a compassionate, empathetic, patient, loving, fun, non-judgmental person and I love making connections with those around me. Be it old or young, I love the things that I can learn from the people I work with and take care of. This is mainly what has attracted me to being a caregiver. I love listening to the stories and experiences of others and making a positive affect in their lives. I do not have any serious, paid experience with being a caregiver, but I have had the opportunity to take care of grandparents, children, parents, friends, and other family members in times of physical and mental illness. Every time that I've been able to cheer up someone who's struggling has been a personal achievement of mine. When I can help a simple smile or chuckle enter someone's day, it leaves me comforted knowing that they have something positive to remember from this rough time.
