When I was a child my mother would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up. My response was always, "A mom". She finally convinced me that a "mom" was not a paying job and encouraged me to seek after a career as well as being a mom. I ended up in the hospital a few times in my childhood and remember the wonderful nurses that cared for me. I thought of them as a person who cared for me almost like my sweet mother did. It was then I knew I wanted to be a nurse. I wanted to care for people. I have sense never stopped chasing this dream. I became a CNA and began attending school to become a nurse.
