Ive been a caregiver/CNA/GNA for over 8 years and being able to not only help people with normal day to day activities but becoming a companion and to some family, is what truly makes my job special and worth doing every day. I've had the opportunity to work in many settings including nursing homes working with rehab, long term, and dementia residents to working in private home settings with patients who need complete care or with ones who just need medicine or doctors appt reminders, help with housekeeping & cooking, or companionship.
