I am Virginia Board Certified Nursing Assistant with over five years of home health and assisted living care. After raising four children I returned to school and became certified as a Home Health Aid, Nursing Assistant as well as Phlebotomy Tech. I believe that everyone has the right to quality care, and an advocate to ensure they are treated with dignity and respect. Raising four children has taught me that one must always use and implement active listening skills as well as expect the unexpected. My passion for health care comes from years of experience as a mother, wife and caregiver to family and friends.

I started Caregiving over 25 years ago. I have always enjoyed assisting clients. I have worked in home health care, private duty, and caregiving facilities. My roles included caregiver, Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A), Med Tech and Supervisor, and Nursing Assistant Educator. Due to my passion for caregiving, I became a Registered Nurse in 2012. As a registered Nurse, I traveled to patients' homes, wrote Care Plans, and trained and tested Nursing Assistants. I have spent the last few years homeschooling and raising my children. I miss caregiving and ready to start my career again. Even though I am Registered Nurse, I am interested in a caregiver role. I want to spend time with my clients. I enjoy helping clients where needed, while understanding independence is essential. I love the development of a relationship with my clients and families in whatever way they build. My personality includes empathy, patience, and kindness. I like to be on time and take my work seriously. When I am not caregiving, I enjoy paddle boarding, skating, hiking, camping, guitar, and life.

Hello am a caregiver with the experience of taking care of the elderly, who was trained with the Sunrise Assisted Living in the year 2004,after a year sat for the State Board to be certified ,was then employed with the Hermitage and Fairfax Nursing Homes for quite sometime, within one of these facilities had a client who preferred to be cared for at home. Later part of 2006 I started private duty in Vienna VA and in 2009 Feb she passed away peacefully. I believe my most useful qualities in this role are patience and kindness. Caregivers must be good listeners and empathetic conversationalists. They should be detail-oriented, diligent problem solvers and have technical medical skills to apply to patients as needed and I believe that I'm a good fit for this position because I love to help and take care about others.
