I am a 37 year old wife and mother, we currently live in Franklin County VA. Most of my education and career were spent focusing on children and the special needs population. While earning my degree in Mental Health I completed a 6 month internship in the Adult Protective Services Department and was suprised at how much I enjoyed it. I have always worked with younger clients but quickly realized that a lot of the same skills are necessary when working with the elderly. Since then I have taken care of both of my grandmothers in their final years and found it so rewarding that I have shifted my career to focus on eldercare. I have been with my current client for over 2 years but I am looking to add another part time client to my schedule.
