I believe you have to have a passion and a HUGE heart to take on the role as a caregiver You should treat your client with respect and assist your client and ADLS and complete the duties required from you as a caregiver. I was inspired to become a caregiver because I have my own personal experience as a caregiver for my grandmother until she passed away. It was not a easy job but it was a blessing be able to care for my grandmother before she passed. It showed me that you can help others who need a caregiver. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is support my client getting to know my client making my client happy, laugh and talk and caring for my client the best way I can. I am proud to have the opportunity to work in both the mental health population which has taught me to learn patience and the health care population which has taught me to care for people even stronger and have understanding and patience.
