A little over 10 years ago I got a call from my aunt while at work that my mom had almost fallen from a step ladder at my house. She was by herself and we had just lost my dad to his battle with cancer a few months prior so it was on that day that I quit my job as an event planner to stay home and care for my elderly mother. She has forever changed my view on the importance of caring for loved ones in times of need.
