Hi there, I am Jeannine; AKA "J" (for those that have a difficult time with my name). I'm uplifting, compassionate, kind and love to find humor throughout each day. I decided to go into caregiving full time after taking care of both parents until their passing. I became astutely aware of the necessity for a caregiver to possess the same qualities I have to offer others (and their family members) during the time I oversaw the needs of my own parents. I realize how important and upsetting it can be for families trying to fill their loved ones needs without adequate help, and welcome the opportunities to help those in need. To me, it is both rewarding and fulfilling to know I have made a positive difference in someone else's life.

Patience, empathy, reliability and honesty are top traits that I have learned to go above and beyond expressing over the decade put into caring for others. My passion began as a teenager, watching my mother operate a day program for mentally and physically challenged adults. I would spend early dismissal days at the program learning how to care and support adults who needed an extra hand. As I matured and ventured out into different career areas, I always seemed to end up back where I was most fulfilled and happy, which is caregiving. The rewards are in the smiles, milestones reached and surpassed and the trust that I build with the individuals and their families. Caregiving has allowed me to travel the US and gain experience in many different settings, while being exposed to the various challenges and conditions others face in the world. Gaining knowledge from medical professionals of all walks and being able to utilize everything I have learned have all benefited those I care for and allowed me to excel at what I love.

My personality traits that help me to be a great caregiver is , I am attentive with my clients. I take my job serious but love my clients to be happy and to feel safe. My attraction for caregiving started as a lil girl, my father was a diabetic. I always told him I was going to take care of him and I did. I naturally love helping others. What I enjoy most about caregiving is ,it gives a fulfillment to help others who are in need . You never know how you will end up one day. Help ease other people stress. A personal achievement was being able to take care of family members and clients with respect and love .I loved making them comfortable and they knew they could depend on me while being taken care of properly.

I've been a in home care provider For approximately 2 years with the special needs community in Bartlett Tn. *The smile that your service recipient gives you when you have helped them accomplish something they've longed to want to do. *Knowing that with everything that is going on throughtout the world , that I'm actually doing positive, selfless, unconditional acts to help assist with putting a smile on someone elses face. *After doing well at mutiple homes that have clients from the agency I work for , I've been able to become a floater which means I have gotten the attention of other home managers and clients , that asks for me to be trained on working with their service recipients ! I became a caregiver because I feel as though, it is my calling and I get a pleasure out of being a servant for someone who is in need.
