I became a care giver when I cared for my father during his hospice time, and later I also cared for my mother in law durning her final days. . I enjoy working with seniors because they share some really good stories with me of history. As a preteen I would spend a lot of my time visiting at convalescent hospitals . My personal anchievements is knowing that when I leave my shift I am satisfied with my clients knowing that my client was at peace and content. It is impotant to me that I leave my client with a sense of self worth of themselves. I want them to know that they are important, and that they have meaning in life. I understand that each client would have a different task and different ways of care.. I always do my best to make sure that their needs are met.. I am a compassionate person. and treat my clients with the upmost respect. I believe that they deserve to be treated with dignity. And I will do what I have to, so that they know they are in good hands with me. I have a car with full coverage insurance. That goes with a perfect driving record. I do light house keeping and will run errands for them. Reading to my clients is a plus for me. It opens doors for a open conversation for us. I also have my bachelors degree in social services. In my last employment I worked for 8 years as a over night awake staff support with mentally challenged adults. I will answer any questions that you may have during an interview. transported my clients to and from work. Assisted with their daily needs in grooming. Basically working in men group homes for mentally challenged adult men. I help with their chores around the house and I assisted them in preparing their meals. I monitor their medication intake..took them to and from doctor appointments, and took them grocery shopping..I monitored them while they were out in the community making sure that they did not reoffend. most of these men were placed by court appointed for their sexual deviant actions involving minors. any questions can be discussed during an interview.
