What a great caregiver means to me is to be able to show empathy and compassion toward the clients and families that I work with. By taking the time to fully understand my patient's needs and giving them the patience to work through their rehabilitation at their own pace, I show them that I care about them and that I want to do what I can to help them. I become a caregiver because I enjoy working with people. I love helping the individuals and their families to create the tailored care that is needed. I also enjoy working with the elderly in overcoming the difficulties associated with their health issues and helping them maintain their highest level of Activities Daily Living. The most satisfying part about being a caregiver is knowing that my clients and I foster a bond that makes me feel like a part of their family. In addition, the trust that my client's family put in me to ensure that their love ones are safe and taken care of is quite rewarding. I know how it helps the family feel at ease. One of my personally favorite achievements I'm proud of was helping one of my post-surgery clients at home with PT and OT; and enabling her to walk with a cane again instead of being restricted to a wheelchair.

Hi! My name is Valeria, I'm currently looking for my next client to work with. Looking for a full time position M-F 30-40hours a week. About my experience- I have 6years and some months experience through my grandmother and professional services. I have worked with dementia patients. My past job involved companionship for a Parkinson's client, driving, laundry and a lot of communication and I enjoy all of the above.
