My rates are negotiable, I like to be flexible to hopefully suit the needs of everyone. I have been a CNA for 20 years with 5 years experience on a dementia - alzheimers unit. What makes me a great caregiver is my patience and understanding. I am a very compassionate type person and love to get to know the patient as well as the family. I became attracted on becoming a caregiver when I learned how broad of a spectrum I could work in. There is so much to learn and plenty of room for advancement. What I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is making that one particular patient smile that never does. What a great accomplishment I feel this is. Brings me such joy to be able to bring a little sunshine to the patients life. My biggest personal achievement that I am very proud of is raising my 2 wonderful boys on my own with only my mothers help at times. They have both become very productive in their lives and love to return the favors to mom.

I chose caregiving because of how fulfilled it makes me feel. I give care because of my love and passion for people, need to help others and my desire to make a positive difference in the society by impacting other people's lives. Seeing a big smile on other people's faces is refreshing. I'm a warm, kind, caring, giving, compassionate, patient, positive and athletic individual who enjoys being active, caring for others and making a positive difference. I feel very lucky and blessed to be able to use these qualities to help others through their daily life's experiences and with their activities of daily living. I thoroughly enjoy my job of caring for people and touching lives through compassionate care. Helping others to me, is enriching, rewarding, interesting, interactive, involving, versatile, and diverse; as I get to meet, communicate with and help people from all walks of life. There's always something different whether it's helping them to be able to get back on their feet, or helping them through their current life's experience; whatever it is that they are going through. Since I'm athletic and really enjoy being active, caregiving keeps me on my feet daily. Also, I get to meet and care for unique and amazing individuals, meet their families, learn about them and what makes them tick. In the process I get to know their likes, dislikes, values, cultures, traditions and all the fun stuff, gaining more knowledge and experience from them, while being in charge of my own scheduling. How fantastic is that!
