I have been a caregiver for 16 years, not counting the years I cared for my son who had intestinal issues from birth and a neice and nephew both with varing degrees of Down Syndrome.I assisted my Mom with my Grandmother who had Alzheimers and Dementia.I recieved my Oregon State Cerrtification in 2001 after working for a company in assisted living houses for two years doing full on care to basic guidance. I have always wanted to be a nurse and caregiving was the best thing I could have ever done. i enjoy being able to help families keep their loved ones at home if that is the choice they make.One of my most favorite parts of it is hearing the stories about their lives and how they remember the days when they were young and how life was lived at that time. Keeping your loved one safe, well cared for and comfortable is my top goal as a caregiver. I feel that I would be a great benefit to both you and your loved one and am looking forward to meeting you in the near future.
