Getting to know a resident is probably the best thing to me personally , I enjoy being company for them , knowing I'm there to care for them and as long as they're comfortable with me there comforts me . My mom worked at an assisted living for 10 almost 11 years & so I gave it a shot after I moved back to Oregon . Being a caregiver is a lot of work also a lot of older people depend on a caregiver and trust them with and will look upon them to give them the best care Possible . Getting to know how to shower , feed , learn to use different chemicals to clean their living space , learning what they love to do & continue to learn from them like they learn from you .
