What are your personality traits or expertise that help you be a great caregiver? I genuinely care for the person, I am compassionate, empathetic, I am skilled in caring for people with diabetes, stroke, heart conditions, and other conditions, I promote the clients independence safely by engaging them in ADLs because I feel that a person lives longer in their own environment. What attracted you to being a caregiver? Becoming a caregiver came natural to me, but started after becoming my grandmothers caregiver after her stroke. I have worked in a nursing home, longterm skilled centers, assisted living, aduly family homes, but found my passion in in home care. What do you enjoy most about being a caregiver? I enjoy being a caregiver because I truely get to know the client on a one on one basis and they become like family to me. What is a personal achievement you are proud of? My personal achievement would be finishing college with a Bachelors of Science degree in Gerontology.
