I'm a very friendly, people person as most say. I love being a caregiver and giving my patients the right type of care. I worked for Hospice a very long time and it made me value everyone's life more than I did before. Being able to take care of people is a great reward because not only do you feel good while giving good compassionate care but the patient feels good and so does the family. I feel as if you have to have a very good warm loving heart to be able to take care of people. What attracted me to be a caregiver was when I was a little girl and my brother was in a coma, he was treated with horrible care by the CNAs and Nurses; it actually thrived me to nursing school too. I always thought to myself how people can work a job without like that if their heart truely doesn't care. In this field of work you have to truely care and have the heart, love, and compassion.
