I became a caregiver after my grandmother experienced a sudden stroke. I was living out of state and I decided to move back to West Virginia to take care of her. Soon after her stroke she developed dementia and since then I took care of her, and gained a love for providing care for individuals that I have these types of complications. I feel like what makes me a good caregiver is that I am very understanding, and I am compassionate and show empathy for all my clients that I work with.
