As our population of older Americans continues to grow, demand will increase significantly for products and services that help tackle some of the health, mobility, and social challenges that can make life more difficult as we age. The strong growth of CareLinx with our network of more than 100,000 caregivers coast-to-coast certainly underscores that point. Later this afternoon, a number of local companies will be gathering in San Francisco to talk about opportunities within the senior market. I am excited to be among those invited to participate in Aging 2.0.
The event -- called “30 in 30 in 30” – is a global initiative sponsored by Aging 2.0 that provides entrepreneurs and growing companies like ours with a valuable opportunity to talk with influential members of the senior services, healthcare, and technology communities about their elder care market solutions. The title – “30 in 30 in 30”— refers to plans to hold 30 such “pitch” events across 30 cities within 30 days. Today’s event in San Francisco is the first one in the series. It is a wonderful opportunity to share and learn new ideas and meet enthusiastic individuals. Aging 2.0 is an impressive organization focused on supporting, facilitating and accelerating innovation to improve the lives of older adults around the world. As part of that mandate, it has created a vibrant ecosystem of like-minded individuals, including entrepreneurs, technology experts, designers, investors, care providers and seniors all equally committed to that mission. CareLinx is proud to be part of that community. The opportunities it affords participants to network with each other, engage in healthy competition, and ultimately better serve the elder care market are invaluable. I look forward to sharing CareLinx’s story with the Aging 2.0 audience this afternoon and to learning more about what other innovators are doing to help America’s aging population live their lives with improved health, safety, and comfort.
