My name is Nikiya Riddick. I'm 42 years old, and I've been in the home healthcare industry as a PCA/DSP, Medication aide, and registered behavior technician for the last 15 years. I pride myself on the compassion I give to my clients and the ability to make my clients know that there is life after a disability

I am a former chef (Johnson & Wales, class of '98) turned certified nursing assistant which is a skill-set rarely seen in the industry. My mission is to combine these skills to care not only for your loved one, but to relieve the immediate family of the chore of cooking, even for themselves, just imagine - skilled nursing and chef all in one!

I feel my attitude makes me a great Caregiver. I'm very outgoing, a good listener also conversationist but not overly talkative. I like being a Caregiver because I am a very caring, loving person and enjoy helping people. Also the achievement I am proud of is that people I am in the company of enjoy me because I focus my attention directly on them.

I enjoy helping people who have difficulty with their daily living needs and I have a nice personality, I'm a hard worker and very trustworthy, dependable and I love this kind of work.

Hi everyone my name is Crystal Blackwell. I have been in the medical field for 20 plus years. I've worked in nursing homes ,home health hospitals and clinics. I was born into a medical family ,so knowing the ins and outs on how to treat residents, patience if you will or clients is something that's embedded in my everyday makeup I hope that I can make a positive change joining the company.

I love working with the elderly. I was fortunate to have wonderful grandparents and while they are no longer here, I get to be with other people's parents and grandparents. Love the wisdom they share. Love providing support and comfort often in the absence of relatives who may live away.

I'm 25 years old an have been in this field since I was 14-15 takin Care of my grandmother so when I was 18 I ended up finding private duty and was working for them from 2012 to 2016 an still do in home care as needed through other agencies. I love being a caregiver because I love to make them smile and be that caring heart they need when they don't have family to come around as often !

I am very passionate about working with and being to help the elderly live life to their fullest potential. I enjoy conversing about everything and anything and I have a great sense of humor. I enjoy meeting new people and creating new experiences. I love reading and listening a variety of music as well. I take pride in being able to provide a service to the elderly community. I enjoy going on outings and just walking and talking. I love to cook and love learning new things in the kitchen. I am very empathetic to others. I love learning about history. I enjoy board games. I have experience working with the Intellectually Disabled community, so I'm no stranger to mental illnesses and behaviors. I have also worked with Medical Transportation . I volunteered as teenager in several different nursing homes in the Richmond area. I come from a long line of caregivers and nursing, so caring for others is basically apart of who I am as a person. I am CPR, AED and First Aide certified, I have also taken a medication aide course with a previous employer. I am experienced with using Hoyer lifts and gait belts. I am also a very good house cleaner as I've held several jobs in the cleaning business over the years. I am an Certified Cosmetologist, so I'm no stranger to grooming, or tidying up hair a bit, and would actually enjoy doing so.

I became a caregiver because it is one of the most rewarding jobs ever. The elderly have so much to offer, that's why I believe companionship plays a major role in the care of a loved one. I am proud to say, I have stayed with all my patients till there passing or family felt a nursing home would be a better fit for all.. I have wonderful recommendations from each one of my family's, and that makes me proud. The ultimate goal in home care is that the family and patient feel safe and comfortable and have somebody that they can trust to take care of the one in need. And making what may be their last days as pleasent as possible.. I truly believe that this has been God's calling in my life.

I think the best qualities a care giver can have is being dependable, compassionate, personable, and trustworthy. These are all qualities I would want someone to have for not only my love one , but me as well. What I love most about being a care giver is helping others. Being able to help someone with their daily duties gives me satisfaction and i understand my purpose in life is to help others.

I have been a care provider for 18 years The well being and health has been a passion of mine since my grandmother got sick 23 years ago I have worked With amputee paraplegic dementia Alzheimer's Parkinson's patients just to name a few I love healthcare and being able to provide the best care for all patients

I became a caregiver because someone I cared about didn't get the care needed. I think Im a great caregiver because I care for the people in my care. Im proud of myself because I took the time out of my busy life to go back to school and I got my cna and med. aide certificate .
