Hello , I was born and raised in Jackson, Wyoming, I Moved to Ohio in 2020 to be closer to family. I'm easy going , soft spoken, compassionate, and understanding. I've worked in Elder Care for over 15 years. When I was young my grandma always used to say, "The key is to find something you enjoy doing so much, that it never feels like work. " I feel I found my niche in Elder Care.

I became a CHHA about 11yrs ago. I love assisting my patients in any way i can. For me, they are family. I love talking to people and making patients smile at the end of the day. Being a Caregiver is very rewarding and satisfying. It also gives the patients' hope and self worth that there is someone out there other than family and friends who really cares about their well-being. I am a very reliable and responsible individual who takes things to heart. I've been told many times that i am a very compassionate individual who puts others needs before my own.

Hello. My name is Kaleila. I have been a caregiver for 14 years. I have experience in just about everything pertaining to home health care. I graduate from CNA class June 2023, I still have to take exam but once that is done I will be a certified nurse assistant.

What makes me a great caregiver? I’m a great caregiver because it is most important to me that a client needing a caregiving service should be treated with RESPECT and DIGNITY. I am therefore compassionate, emphatic, friendly, patient and understanding to any client I am assigned to. I am also conscious to privacy and confidentiality issues, and sensitive to the need of patients/client to be as independent as possible. If client needs to have a healthy conversation on something that interests them, I can engage with them to make their social life as normal as possible. I take pride of having high emotional intelligence to be in control of myself and not reactive; thus, responding promptly with calmness to what needs to be done. I have gained knowledge and skills to enable me perform the procedures in caring for a patient/client by undergoing a required certificate course as well as through experience. I continue to seek trainings to update my knowledge and skills. Why did I become a caregiver? I became a caregiver because I consider it as an opportunity to perform duties that would be MEANINGFUL in my life. I have a big heart for anyone needing a caregiving service, and therefore see caregiving as a calling for my heart and soul to pursue. What do I like about being a caregiver? It gives me satisfaction and happiness to provide CARE as a professional service to anyone needing it. What is a personal achievement I am proud of? I am proud of having found the field of caregiving as a meaningful profession that matches my own character and interest. I have learned a lot through my experience from my clients, co workers and education. I'm gentle and patient. I was going to college to become a Surgical Technologist and my employer would not allow me to take time off of work to attend classes so I went to work as a CNA then home care. I enjoy the companionship and hearing stories. Also, knowing that I helped someone have a better quality of life. Making it through college especially Algebra so I could change careers.
