Being the oldest of 10 children I've always felt like I was a born leader! Caring for people has always been a passion of mine. I take my work seriously and it comes naturally. At the age of 16 I decided that Healthcare was for me! I watched my 90 year old great grandmother's health deteriorate right before my eyes. I had no prior knowledge or experience with Healthcare so there wasn't much I could do, so as soon as I got a chance I went to CNA school. Now I am a proud CNA, the rest is history in the making.

I have provided loving care to individuals who can not care for themselves for the past 10 years. Services may be required for long-term care or for short-term recovery. Taking vital signs and assisting with medication are only part of the responsibilities. My duties varied based on the needs of the individual being cared for. They included, but not limited to, assistance getting in and out of bed, to the restroom or diaper changes, bathing, dressing, feeding, cooking, and providing companionship. Often my patients totally relied on me for social interaction, and in some cases, a time to get out of the house. Although the level of housekeeping varies from client to client, some housekeeping, like dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and kitchen areas are usually part of the job. I was often an important link between the family members and the medical team of the client. I worked in various settings including a client's home, at hospital ICU's, and a rehabilitation facility. I've been a caregiver for a paraplegic young man for the past year. Performing the MACE and Mitrofanoff procedure. Treatment of skin irritations and open wounds. Knowledgeable in use of sling and Electronic Lift to move my patient to chair and into baths. Maintain confidentiality of all patient information as per policies. Participate in all staff meetings to maintain quality of services. Manage completion of various caregiver notes for each visit. Analyze client requirements for nutritional needs. I currently am the primary care taker of my handicap brother that has cerebral palsy and is severely disable, i take care of ALL his day to day living needs... I have always been very close to my brother and i believe that it takes a special heart to do what needs to be done for anyone that has health issues, I always try to put myself in that persons shoes and at the end of the day i sleep better knowing that they are as comfortable and happy as possible. I think the world needs more people like me it surely would be a better place!! :)

I'm a 24 year old first responder working on an ambulance on the night shift, I recently assisted with my grandmother's passing while she was in hospice and noticed my resilience and love for others expanded beyond EMS. I am looking for some work aside from my EMS job to assist with my educational expenses in hope to become a doctor one day. I have some background in home health companionship including working as an aide for an autistic child that is non verbal with aggressive tendencies and assisting with medications through a pic line for elderly care. I'm very compassionate and look forward to learning as much as I can and helping in my community to the best of my abilities.

I am a very passionate and loving and outgoing person who loves to smile and make other people smile. Im always a happy person and talkative and enjoy helping others in need and enjoy what I do. I love to help and listen and love learning new things and especially learning new things that help to make my job better and easier and the client happy. I went into being a caregiver after watching a love one pass away and learned and felt what other families must be going through and how help is really needed for our seniors and one day that will be me. I then begun my journey to helping seniors and others that are in need and have no regrets. I enjoy challenges in being a caregiver and learning all the different personalities of each person and their stories and I must enjoy seeing them smile and laugh and knowing that I did part of my job as well as caring for them and seeing the improvement they made.

I owned my own business for years as well as worked for the Government for several years. I left corporate America behind to peruse my passion for medicine. When my daughter was born a month early, she had some medical issues that came up. After years of dealing with doctors and specialist constant changes in her medical treatment I started to research different treatments on my own and decided to go into the medical field. I still have a love for business, but being apart of a team that provides medical attention and compassion makes me want to do it each day.

I believe I'm a great caregiver because I love taking care of people. I have a very nurturing spirit and also youthful spirit. I love focusing on positives and having a great time no matter what the task at hand. My empathic ways certainly help in this field as well as willing to be patient and kind!

Upbeat, positive, dependable, self starter, work well alone encouraging, patient and passionate about caring for the members. The fact that I can help other's, the ability to provide good and consistent care for the members. The ability to encourage, assist the members that their situation is ok, the fact that I've had numerous members that were wheelchair bound and within a year they were walking with a cane and at a reasonable distance. Just to see them hope & overcoming the stress of being in their situation is a great achievement.

I only care for the thoughts of God, specific to my clientele. I work at an hourly pay rate of: $113.00/Per Hour. God loves you only.
