Excellent opportunity for a trustworthy, reliable, patient, and considerate caregiver located near Alexandria, VA to help care for my maternal aunt. She is in need of help Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, in the late morning through midday (~10 am to 1:00 or 2:00 pm), although timing could be flexible. Caregiver should be able to start February 4, 2025, and is expected to work 15-20 hours per week. Duties and responsibilities of the caregiver will include companionship; help with the following: taking her medication regularly and accurately, meal prep, light housekeeping (laundry, cleaning, organization), and shopping; also taking my aunt out for walks, with some light support. Some transportation will be needed for shopping and perhaps an occasional appointment. Caregiver should be open to listening to stories - my aunt has many interesting ones! - and to be patient if she repeats herself or is forgetful. We look forward to meeting you!
