Hello My name is Martha i live in Sacramento CA for about 36years moved to Davis CA to attend a better school.In my senior year i volunteered to work at this facilty working with the elderly AND I TRULY ENJOYED IT from that day in 95' i knew what i wanted to do.I started medical school in 97' but...found out i was pregnant i had put to put my dreams on hold.In 99' i started working at State Franchise Tax Board for 3yrs then my day my Co-worker asked'hey do you really enjoy working here i stated NO but i need to provide for my family from that day on i told myself 'do something you like to do! I can say i separted myself and found a job working with the elderly in 04' from then just worked as a caregiver for YEARS my daughter a teenager now so i decided to go back school and get my RN license and here i am! Thank God!

I am a very caring person I raised 3 wonderful children adults now . I work in a care home now I work wirh 6 persons with different disabilities . I love that I can make a difference in their life cause I am there to care for their needs . I have a lot of patience. what makes me a great care giver is that I have a lot of patience and love for the person I take care of and my personality well sometimes shy but in a good nice way and a good listener for who need to tell me anything they like. .

I started caregiving as a part of my nursing studies. From there I realized I love working with the elderly and reminded me of working with my Great Grandfather who had Dementia. I make it my goal to provide calming and safe care for all my clients.

My greatest accomplishment being as a caregiver, i work hard and am proud that my dedication to leadership coursework paid off. Knowing their family appreciates my help, kindness and entrust when i leave with their precious ones. Telling me and thanking me that i did a great job. My job includes preparing meals, laundry, light housekeeping, medication, bathing, dessing, grooming and feeding.

I am an experience caregiver of over 10 plus years. I am a loving, caring, honest, loyal, friendly and trustworthy person. I love being a caregiver cause I like to help other people and treat them with respect just like my own family. I am also a very need and clean person. I am always on time and do my job very serious. I follow directions very well and I will go extra miles to get my job done. I can do bathing, dressing, transfer/mobility, prepare meals, house keeping, laundry, medications, grooming, toileting, companionship, appointments, grocery shopping and whatever it requires for the job. I will have a log book to write down any activities the client is doing like keep track of their daily routines. Also I do their vitals, weight if require. I owned my own car and a valid CA driver's license and full insurance coverage. I am up to date with my vaccines as well as Covid-19 vaccines. I am a US Citizen. I love my profession because I always enjoyed taking care of others. Caregivers job is challenging, rewarding and positively impacts others lives . My socializing and communication skills make me a great Caregivers. I am full of patience . Compassion and empathy is quality of my life. I always satisfied with my work.

I have been in the field. For more than 25 years, I have been very successful in providing care for individuals according to each clients needs. I pride myself on the fact that I got one particular client who wasn't willing to participate in any exercise and was wheelchair bound to not only participate, but eventually began walking. I am extremely proud to say I absolutely adore working with seniors, I've been doing it for a long time. I love being in the company of them. I absolutely admire the stories and the way they did things.

I have been a caregiver for about 2 years...1 year with my mom and 1 year in home. I've always felt like a caregiver when I was a kid because I helped take care of my great grand mom who had Alzheimer's. I enjoy being with the client and able to help them with what they need. A personal achievement I am proud of is getting my medical assistant license at an early age.
