I am a married 59 year old woman with three grown daughter's and 6 grandchildren of my own with a blended family with three grown children and 4 grandchildren. I have had several clients that I have been assisting for over 20 years. I also took care of my mother and father towards the end of their lives. I am a very compassionate caring individual. I have taken 16 courses and recieved certificates for all to better myself for the best Adult care services possible. I have also taken care of Hospice clients. Caring with Love and compassion will always be my goal in this field. Since I was a little girl I helped take care of my great grandmother. Fast forward to 1990, I knew I wanted to be of help and I made it to CNA school to get Certified! I started w/ Nursing/ Rehab in California and finally moved back to Hawaii to be closer to family. There I started helping out w/ taking care of Family and eventually started working for Agencies. One thing I know w/ having to work both Facilities & Homes, it's both rewarding. Difference is Time & Quality of Care! Facility definitely needing to manage Time/ Quality for each patients. Home Care is best for Patient. Hello! I have been a caregiver for the past 5 years. Through advancing my career and lifestyle I have always stuck by and taken opportunities to pick up caregiver shifts. I'm a very compassionate and caring person, a mother of 5. I was raised by my great grandparents who are now elderly, I have helped take care of them since I was in my teenage years. My goal in life has always been to help people, which is why I am pursuing my masters degree in Social Work. I love to help those I care for enjoy activities and assist them in daily necessities as well as encourage them into making positive choices. I am so proud of myself today as I have been able to consistently been a caregiver while pursuing my Bachelor's which I am now graduating in May with, and also while having 3 more children!

I became a caregiver because i love working with people and also learn more about the human anatomy. I went to school to be a medical assisting, shortly after i started to work for a quadriplegic woman. I enjoy it very very much so because of the bond that was created and also to know at the end of the day you was there to help some one in need for any type of help that was needed. Every day i was proud of myself because i has accomplish something more and more each day.
