My name is Christina Lopez. I have been a caregiver for 10 plus years. I am very compassionate and love to help the elderly continue to be independent as much as they can in their own home. I have always loved helping others and enjoy spending my time with elderly. They always have such great stories from their life experiences. I was with my last patients for 7 years. In that time I grew to love them very much as if they were my own grandparents.

What makes me a great caregiver is my genuinely love to help and be there. I don't work this field for a paycheck. I love working this field because its who I am. What attracted me to this position as a caregiver was my grandmother. I have always taken care of her and it always made her happy. I never treated her or any of my patients as work. I genuinely loved them all and cared and treated them and looked at them as my extended family. My personality traits are huge personality, very silly when around loved ones or anytime someone is down. I can always make someone who's down smile. I have a very huge heart. I enjoy everything about being a caregiver. Each day of just knowing I've helped someone with each day in there life to make it easier any way that I can is the best feeling. Knowing that I made someone smile and i can help someone in the way is needed without feeling like they cant do it is the best feeling.

Hi I have been working as a caregiver for many years. I started as a CNA and work for more than 10 years, I currently don't have a certification but I still have the Knowledge. I enjoy been around the elderly listen to their stories and learn from them.

Since I was a child, I've loved helping other people. I enjoy working with people of all ages and circumstances. I become a caregiver taking care of my father his last 3 years, to know better about his illness I read books, interview friends who work on that field ( dementia), after my fathers passed , I descide to learn more about mental illness. And find a job as a profesional caregiver. Took courses and read books about Dementia and Alzheimer's illness. Then I knew that we need to be prepared and accept changes in life. I learned that elderly needs more patience, compassion and respect . Is not easy for family members like I did experience to accept or understand this changes. I fell in love taking care of elder people. And everyday I want to be better in that field and give the best of me with love and compassion.

I am a very compassionate, patient, spiritual and caring person. I strongly believe that our services as caregivers have to go beyond assisting our clients with their physical limitations. We can support them emotionally and spiritually as well. I love how my position as a caregiver allows me to choose a schedule that helps me to continue with my college education.
