I became a certified nursing assistant in May of 2000. I have worked in many specialties in the healthcare field which consists of med-surg, telemetry,Icu,Brain and Injury, Rehab and Pacu. I also worked in Hospice, and home health for 15 years. I am currently working towards Nursing degree.

I have been a caregiver 40 years. Always had a good repore with elderly growing up. Being there to help a loved one played a major roll in my job. I've worked in Assisted living facilities, Nursing homes and absolutely love it. I've used machinery like hoyer lifts, and other things. I'd prefer to stay away from that and heavy lifting. I also had my own assisted living years ago in upstate Ny.. I'm very experienced and I make it my buisness to be punctual and dependable. I take pride in my skills and I do my very best at all times. Looking primarily for day shift or overnight.

What makes me a great caregiver is excellent communication skills, I'm compassionate, dependable and trustworthy. What attracts me to being a caregiver is I'm fulfiled when I see the patients back to their feet. I enjoy assisting patients with their daily activities and what they cannot do by themselves. My achievements are passion for helping others, a willing and flexible nature, willingness to listen and a great communication skill.

Meeting personal care needs like dressing or using the bathroom, is very much my expertise. I know trusting your loved to a stranger, can be overwhelming, but know you have the right person, Who is patient, and understand that when the client feels embarrassed, frustrated or angry as they grow less able to manage their personal need, I am there to consider their perspective and bring them the satisfaction they so desire. I am a very compassionate caregiver. I obtained the passion of caring for others when I gained experienced taking care of my grandmother who had dementia. I assisted my mother in taking care of my grandmother up until her last day while being on hospice. I obtained my CNA liscense shortly after and began to share that compassion with others in honor of my grandmother.
