Although my work history has been in education and as a business owner, I really enjoy caring for others and now have the time available with our business and family to do so. My mother was diagnosed with early onset dementia and eventually Alzheimers in 2014. She stayed with us for awhile, then we were able to find a lovely care facility where she was very happy and loved. She passed away in November 2019 and I am so thankful for the time I got to spend with her, putting her at ease and making her laugh. I plan to still visit her friends where she was living, but its 45 minutes away so it's a not practical place me to work. I have enjoyed working with multiple clients for the past several years, and have been referred to other clients several times.

I've managed a 6 man group home for the last 4 years with only minuscule issues. Regardless of the fact that I have children at home I'm quite flexible with scheduling although I would love to work mornings while my children are at school, it's not a must and I have no problem doing overtime.
