I am a retired geriatric nurse experience in home health skilled therapy hospice long-term care for last 20 years. My dad survived three years with Lewy body dementia. As I moved to take care of him and great forever memories I have now I decided then to use my experience to take care Of elderly and children in their homes so they never have to leave their families And fully vaccinated. I have been told that I am a great encourager. With being a caregiver, sometimes, all it takes is a little encouragement, to go a long way. My attraction to wanting to become a caregiver, goes way back to when I was 9 years old. I was adopted by older parents (58 and 63). As I grew older, at age 12, I became interested in visiting an elderly neighbor. I would ride my bike to her house just because of her cool stories of her childhood, (and she provided cookies.) Little did I know, that my attraction to being a caregiver was already in the making of who I was meant to be as an adult. She even sent me a card in the mail and it stated I was her "favorite person." That meant SO MUCH to me! The only thing I can think of about something I'm proud of achieving would be when I worked in Customer Care at a gym, and the owners gave me a "Loving People Award." Other than that, just the simple fact that my two children have grown up to become upstanding, fine adults and are parents, themselves. So watching them figure things out as adults, makes me feel so proud of them.

My personal experience was helping family members when they got sick and could not do things on there own. I always loved helping people out regardless if they was young old sick healthy I love seeing people smile. Being able to make someone's day just a little better. Personal achievements would be that I learned how to drain a catheter and learning different ways to help someone because not everyone can move or do the same things.

I have been a caregiver for over 20 years! It's a passion and always enjoy it so much, it's much more than a job, I love getting to know all my clients with sweet conversations and hearing some of the most interesting stories and bringing smiles .

I've always loved taking care of my elders! I took care of my grandmother for 2 years in 2008-2010, because my grandmother started having strokes after she got done with chemotherapy and radiation. I helped my grandmother to roll over to get comfortable, helped her get on the commode, helped her sit on the side of the bed, helped her to get drinks and fed her. My grandmother died in Feb 2010 due to a massive stroke. That's why I got my CNA because I absolutely loved it when I took care of my grandmother. I have a big heart to love and take care of my elderly clients. I'm very compassionate, very out going, very caring, and very respectful to everyone, and I get along great with other people.

I am a registered nurse and was trained by some of the best doctors and military personnel I'm very patient and compassionate I love helping the elderly they have taught me a lot I enjoy the time I spend with my patients because it soothes them I'm proud that no matter the situation good or bad I know how to handle it with love and compassion

I became a caregiver because I love helping others and making their lives better. I am proud of my goal achievements. My dreams were always to be a caregiver and after 3 yrs of working all day and going to school at night, while being a single mom, I became a preschool teacher/director. After I moved to Oklahoma, I redirected my profession to medical caregiving. I am a caring and compassionate person with a passion for helping others. I have been a CNA since Jan 2013. I have worked in hospitals and done home health. I love the experience the hospitals have given me, as I mostly worked the float pool, giving me a variety of experience in the healthcare field.
