Hi, my name is Alisha! I have 5 boys ranging in age from 1 year old to 19 years old. I've spent a lot of time caring for others and it's something I truly enjoy doing! I learn quickly and am eager to please those that I work for! I have been blessed to be a stay at home mom for most of my boys lives and wouldn't change a thing! I am a PRO at organizing and love to do laundry! I love animals, dogs are my favorite. I did have the pleasure to care for my grandmother when she fell ill and I thoroughly enjoyed our extra time together and loved to help her with things she could no longer do herself... After seeing my grandmother and grandfather in assisted living facilities without proper companionship or care from their caregivers and nurses I made the decision to make a difference. 8 years ago my father was diagnosed with Dementia. With his progression of the disease our family had to make a choice and decided it was in his best interest to be in a facility. By the grace of god he is well taken care. During this time I made decision to go to nursing school to become a licensed nurse. Having gone through the process and working in assisted living facilities I became well aware of the elderly and all the help that was needed, especially with companionship. A lot of patients have no family to visit or family that has no interest to visit. This has become very close to my heart and the joy I get to be able to spend with these patients is as rewarding as it gets. I enjoy being able to provide the skills I have learned and to provide the assistance and respite care that a family needs.
