Warm hearted person, love being around and helping clients and families. Taking care of my grandmother when she became ill made me to take care of other's. The interaction with different people the smiles that come with helping them knowing that if I can help someone with a simple meal makes my day. I am an experienced caregiver and comfortable tending to folks with a variety of handicaps, whether they are physical or mental disabilities. Much of my experience came from providing care to an elderly hemiplegic stroke survivor (paralyzed on one side). For years, I provided meaningful conversation and companionship, timely medication administration, assistance with personal hygiene (bathing, toileting, etc.), physical therapy, reading, memory recall practice, housekeeping, and taking consistent, detailed notes of her activities, progress, and state of mental and physical wellbeing. As a step-parent of three, I never really left the field of domestic work. I am also an NHA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, which means I have been trained in patient care, taking vital signs, as well as administering first aid, CPR, and medications. Although I am not opposed to strictly medical work environments, I feel it is time for me to continue caring for new clients in a home setting. My favorite part about being a caregiver is companionship centered around human needs. I miss my former primary client, who passed away a few years ago. Even on days when we were going nowhere, I still helped her get dressed, curled and teased her hair, and helped with makeup. She always had a preferred way of doing things, so I served as her natural extension and carried out tasks in the way she would have done them herself. I am fully. vaccinated and boosted for Covid-19. I do test regularly as an additional precaution. Everyone in my household (including all three children) are also fully vaccinated.

I love the smile I get when I'm at work and I'm doing my job and the family has somebody that really cares and enjoys there job.I would say my biggest personal achievement would have to be continuing my education but the most important one was having beautiful kids and becoming a mother.

My personality traits that help me be a great caregiver is my kindness good heart and helpful ways I'm always a easy going caregiver to get along with and I also have fun with my patients. What attracted me to be a caregiver was my my heart. Ever since I was little I always enjoyed helping people because when it was all said and done I felt good about my choices and that I did good deeds. I took on being a Caregiver when my Dad took sick with The Big C.....i care for him at home until he died....My brother pass in between..then I took care of my Mommie...She couldnt walk..until she died..I love people and caring for them ...im a DEACON in my Church..I am true too heart taking care of people and family.I also took care of an eldely couple until their death...I was with them for 2years.....the family really loved my work....they really blessed me for all i did for their parents...I cook,wash clothes as well..

I'm very patient, kind & understanding. I've been helpful since a kid, it's always been my passion and drive to help others out. The thing I love most is the relationship that I establish with my patients. My biggest achievement is getting accepted into nursing school.
