I have Self-control, sincere, devoted, generous, and kind. As a mother, and someone who came from a large family in which caregiving is rooted deep in my culture, I always wanted to take caregiving as a career and improve along that pathway. I like to entertain, converse, and read aloud to keep my patients or resident's alert. I also like to run errands and do weekly grocery shopping for them. In 2015 I started giving care to a couple. The wife pre-deceased the husband whom I continue to take care of. It has been 7 years now and counting, the children of this patient no longer consider me as a caregiver, but a family member because (according to them) of the 5-star care that I give to their dad. Greetings! My name is Dana, and I reside in Louisa County, near Lake Anna. All of my previous positions have been either in customer service or helping others. In regards to caregiving, I have experience working with folks in a home setting where I have done things such as; help with toiletry, grooming, meal preparation, helping with mobility (getting in and out of bed), companionship ( I play a mean hand of Rummy), and some exercise (taking walks). I have previous work experience as a CPHT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) and I'm trained in medication management, I would have no problem with medication management.
