I have been a CNA for over eleven (11) years. I enjoy working with a wide variety of people in all walks of life. Home health care is my true passion. Hello! I'm Amber! I'm 38 years young and have 2 boys my oldest is 16 and my youngest is my special guardian angel. My inspiration to be a caregiver was my family. At the age of 38 my dad had the Widow Maker heart attack. At that point, not knowing if my dad was going to survive is when I realized being in the medical field is where I was meant to be. After my dad got better, my grandma started showing signs of Alzheimer's and Dementia. A very short time later she passed. This was a very difficult time but it was also when being a caregiver made the most sense. In 2016 I attended Fox Valley Technical College and started CNA classes. Along with my CNA I also have all of my CBRF certifications and medication administration. As of January 2022 I'm back at FVTC to further my medical career studying for my Certified Medical Assistant and in the summer I'll be adding EMT-Basic as well! I am truly blessed to have my amazing fiance and my family as my support system and personal cheer squad! I love what I do and I look forward to the next chapter in the book of Me!

Hi! My name is Clarissa. I am a very upbeat and kind person who is very positive and compassionate. I am very patient with everyone and take my time when needed and encourage others often. I have a passion for helping others so caregiving comes naturally to me. Having a strong stomach helps with the job, a lot too! My favorite part of being a caregiver is just helping others. Sometimes the things qe fake for granted are the things others need help with the most, & if I can help them and not make them feel bad for needing help I did my job well. I have been on the deans list since I started school two years ago (I changed schools and majors so its not reflected on this profile.) I did not do well in school when I was in high school so now that I'm in college doing so well its very validating that I'm on the right path.

I am a people person. I treat my clients as a part of the family and will do everything within me to give them the best care, and respect.. I started being a caregiver caring for my mom. It gave me great satisfaction to give back to her as she did for me growing up. Some people don't have that opportunity to do the same and want the piece of mind someone will care for the loved ones. I enjoy being a caregiver because it's very heartwarming and satisfying. You can be there when someone needs you and help them do things they are not able to anymore. I enjoy being a caregiver because I love helping others. It started when I was about 16 years old. My mother was a licensed foster home for adults with disabilities, and when I turned 18 I did respite for her when she would need. From there I began working in different environments providing care, whether it was nursing homes or assisted living or in home care.

I am a young caring person who loves to give back and help the elderly and disabled. I have officially worked in healthcare for 4 years and volunteered in nursing homes throughout middle school and high school.
