My original roots started in Southern California I am here again changing my destiny by the will of GOD. I am a studious ambitious tidy artist healthy woman who had the pleasure of raising sons in Northern California. I started caregiving in 2000 because it was GOD's will for me to do so. I am proficient in basic skills: personal hygiene like showers/bath, oral care, toileting, back-rub, dressing; Assists in activities of daily living such as serving & feeding, ambulating, positioning, transferring, administer meds & nutritional supplements, dressings surgical prep; Do & record vital sign: blood pressure, weight, pulse, temperature, finger pricking for sugar levels in diabetics; Measure & record food & liquid intake, urinary & fecal output and report changes. Encourage patient to exercise. Review & ask dietary restrictions, preferences, & allergies. Change bed linens, replace trash bags. Always check expiration of food & medicines. Know vital information about patient's condition, treatment plan & any suggested activity.. In a capsule, it is very important to respond immediately to patient's call for assistance and/or treatment with the goal of creating a safe, effective environment to make a difference in the lives of the patient & their families. Patience is a virtue inherent in me. I always work above & beyond my duty for the comfort & safety of my patients. After high school, I attended Maric college of medical careers. (medical assisting course.) After graduating, I worked in family practice as a back medical assistant. I continued my Education by taking an EMT course at Mesa College. From there I worked as an respiratory tech for a home oxygen therapy company. After starting a family, I worked as program manager for a senior congregant lunch program. I relocated from Ocean Beach to Oceanside and have been working as an independent contractor on several different cases. I love the work I do and I'm good at it. I'm reliable, dependable, trustworthy, outgoing and friendly. I have reliable transportation with a good driving record and can easily pass a background check. I don't drink smoke or do drugs...
