I cook them breakfast, lunch and dinner, I wash their clothing, Assist/ Administer food/medicine, peg tube and flushing tube as well I encourage them to tell me stories(jog their memories) I exercise with them, encourage them to go outside and enjoy the fresh air, laugh and chat with them, Play board games, Color, Singing, playing cards etc... I started caring for both my parents but at different times when they were diagnosed with cancer yrs ago, my dad saw how I was with mom & from the time a also cared for him he knew it was my calling & he was comfortable in my care. Then just within the past year I was able to care for my mother in law as well. I just feel compassionate about caring for others & it's such a rewarding experience everyday to know I'm making a difference in someone's life! I worked at St Vincent hospital as a patient safety assistance I kept my patients safe I assisted them with restroom duties, feeding, walking, I played games with them watched television I became their companion. I've worked with people with all types of elements even hospice, ages from infants to 104 years of age. I also work with the seniors at my church. I'm a very nurturing person.
