I look at someone as if they where my family how you would want your family be taking care of if it was someone take care someone you related to. what attracted me to being caregiver i grew up in it my mom and grandma was nurses. then going to there job when little talking people nurse home spending time with them. Now as i am older i love helping people. I love going home at the end of day know i made someone life little better at end of the day. I enjoy caring for them and making there life little easier from the big things to little things cause there not able to do it or they need help. knowing the appreciate the help and what you do. My greatest achievement to keep going in the heath care fluid cause my heart in it and i love it. I type person even outside work i help people feeding them, donating clothes, whatever i can do.

Growing up I always had a passion for being a person to care for people. I started as a teenager caring for babies and my passion continued to grow. I wanted to become a cna after my friend did and told me how much she loved it and it sounded like something I would love to do as well. My favorite part of being a caregiver is the satisfaction of knowing for sure everything was Done properly and I know the job was done not having to worry when I leave peoples homes. I also love the relationships that are built between caregivers and the person needing care also their families.

I have done private care for 14 years, I take time to listen and hear what the client needs and to know it doesn't always need to be rushed. I do like to learn new thing's we can always keep learning. Love helping my clients maintain independence at any form. I am always taking classes to learn strengthen my skills. I love helping others! Since I was young I dreamed of being in the medical field! Fast forward and I've been in the medical field for 7 years! Caregiving since highschool so about 10 years! It brings me great joy making a difference in my patients lives!

My role as a caregiver initially started when I was 17. My Grandmother broke her hip and I lived with her to help her live independently in her own home again. This was not a paid position but one out of love and respect for my grandmother. 13 years later she was my Maid of honor, danced down the aisle at my wedding, at the age of 87. I've always enjoyed working with people in various stages of their lives. About 4 years ago, I became very ill and after 3 hospitalizations, I was transferred to a nursing home for a month. I had to learn to walk again. That experience reminded me of seeing various emotions of my grandmother when I was 17. However, this time it was me that was in her shoes, except I was at the mercy of strangers. I now understood the roller coaster of emotions that my grandmother verbalized. I made many friends in my stay at the nursing home. It was actually very sad when I left. My friends I made there wanted me to stay and work there....both clients and staff. That was when I decided to become a caregiver to help others continue to live independently in their own homes. I love what I do. I know my clients enjoy my presence in their lives. And that feeling has no price tag.

I've been in healthcare since I've been 18 yrs old. I come from a large farm family and have grown up caring for one another. We enjoyed caring for our grandparents and I always enjoyed listening and learning as much as I could from them. I enjoy seeing the smile on my clients faces, knowing I helped put it there. They make me smile and so happy as well!

What makes me great caregiver is my patients, empathy and compassion. I understand that slowing down is a process of aging. Allow elderly to move at their own pace without making them feel like they are being rushed provides them with the sense of independence. I do care about their concerns and frustrations due to their life changes. I am dependable and I understand the importance of being on time and prepared to preform schedule duties. I am positive and happy person who enjoys helping others and love to make others smile! :)

I'm a very compassionate member of the nursing home team. I care for the residents thoroughly and build trusting relationship to make the residents feel as comfortable as possible during their stay at any facility. I consider myself a hard worker and a quick learner of people and what they expect to make there cares to their own liking. Especially considering I work well with my employees.
