Hello, I'm Jennafer. I previously worked for a VA Medical Center as a nurses aid. I loved my job, unfortunately I moved and it was too far in distance. I am CPR certified, and have experience with most common elderly illnesses and diseases. I worked with a lot of patients suffering from either dementia, Alzheimer's, diabetes, urinary, respiratory, cardiopulmonary, restorative, and more. I absolutely enjoy making people happy and being part of people's lives, which is one reason I believe makes me great at care giving. I love to talk and companionship is a big plus for me in the healthcare field. I am very compassionate about the care I provide and I enjoy the friendships I get to make. I am always looking for ways and opportunities to better my skills and care. Just for a little extra info, I do speak some spanish, however not too fluent; I also play several musical instruments in which I got to share music with some of the residents I cared for. I am an adult Female that has a good listening ear. I take initiative and I am physically active and strong. I have empathy and I like to put myself in my clients shoe and assist them as I would wish to be assisted, no matter the situation or the circumstances. Even if only to make them smile. That way I feel good that I have assisted and I have accomplished something today. I naturally like helping people and giving them a hand, leaving a person in a better situation than how I found them. For example, I once found a client, depressed and a year long in a wheel chair. Everyday I would encourage her to take a step, even if one. After six months of this practice; she ended up having leg braces and was walking with them plus a cane. No longer in a wheelchair. This is just one of the many achievements, over the years, that I am proud of, in helping different ages, and people from different population, achieve.

I am retired and just need part time work with this one client for a bit of extra income. Unfortunately I am not taking on any new clients at this time unless you are a King Pine resident In Orange MA who just needs light cleaning, walks and grocery shopping.

Passionate, reliable and dependable . 8 years of experience in this field caring for patients with MS, Dementia, Alzheimer, stroke, cancer, heart disease, osteoporosis, respiratory disease, diabetes, fall risk, depression. And hospice care. My responsibilities were, transportation of patients to doctors appointment, bathing and dressing them up, companionship, making beds, doing laundry remind or give medicine to patients, check vital signs or apply lotion to dry skin areas, change bandage, light house cleaning, am able to lift my clients, transfer them in and out of wheelchair to their beds. I can also manage using a Hoyer lift. I have excellent communication skills guided by good relationship with clients, strong work ethics since am dedicated to getting the job done, positive attitude, time management abilities, self confidence, ability to accept and learn from criticism, flexible and l love my job and very hardworking. I have been a caregiver since 1979 ,I take pride in my work to assure that the client looks and feels there best tending to all needs ( Chatting, bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting ambulating as needed. I worked at the same facility for 35 years as a C.N.A. and 3 years as there Nursing scheduler. I decided to step down from that position in December of 2014 after my husband was in a bad car accident. I am still employed as a per diem staff and fill in when needed as the scheduler. I am now looking for part time per diem hours as a home care provider.
